Coffee and Tea Can Avoid Diabetes
Sydney, There are many steps that can be done to avoid diabetes, from changing the flow of eating, exercising to drugs. But the results of the most recent analysis of researchers say, drinking enough coffee or tea alone can reduce diabetes. Researchers reviewed the results of 18 studies involving several hundred to several thousand participants. Study th. 2005 says a person who often drinks coffee, the odds of getting diabetes a third lower than those who do not often drink coffee. Dr Rachel Huxley from The University of Sydney, Australia conducted a survey of data on coffee and tea studies from th. 1966 to 2009 in patients with type 2 diabetes. Diabetes type 2 is a diabetes associated with obesity and affects 8% of the American population. As quoted from Reuters, Tuesday (15/12/2009), a summary of the analysis that is, each cup of coffee a drink can reduce the risk of diabetes to 7%. Of the six existing studies, in the know that the consumption of 3 to 4 cups of coffee one day can reduce the risk of diabetes up to 36%. Besides that seven other studies show that drinking tea of 3 to 4 cups a day can also reduce diabetes to 18%. Researchers think it's not just caffeine that helps the diabetes risk reduction system. Other substances in these two types of beverages such as magnesium, lignans (estrogen-like substances in plants) and chlorogenic acid called anti-oxidants can slow the release of sugar into the blood after food consumption. Clinical trials need to be done to convince the 2 types of this drink is indeed possible to prevent diabetes drugs. If it is true to be proven, medical personnel may also advise diabetic patients not only to exercise and eat less, but also to drink coffee or tea. But remember, drinking tea or coffee is good with a little sugar content, not as common Indonesian people who generally give very much sugar. (fah / ir)
